CLAMMY / Privacy

Privacy, plainly.

What happens in Clammy, on this website, and when you get in touch.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

01. Who is responsible

Jakub Rene Kosik is the developer of Clammy and the controller for this website and support correspondence. Contact: hello@clammy.uk; 27 Old Gloucester St, Holborn, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom.

02. Browsing in the app

Clammy loads websites through Apple’s WebKit. The websites you visit receive normal connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, along with information you choose to submit. The starting page and searches use Google; search queries are sent to Google. Each website applies its own privacy policy. Clammy does not provide a developer account or a server-side browsing-history service.

03. Website data and your controls

The app uses a nonpersistent WebKit website data store. Cookies and other site data can remain available during the active session, including after rotation or briefly leaving the app. Settings lets you allow session cookies or block cookies. Blocking cookies does not erase existing data or block all other forms of website storage. “Clear browsing data and start a new session” replaces the active store and clears the previous session. It does not delete data websites have already received. Temporary storage does not make browsing anonymous.

04. Local preferences and input

Appearance, language, browsing layout, cookie policy, keyboard, haptic and trackpad preferences are stored locally until changed or the app is deleted. Trackpad gestures are processed on the device. The app’s JavaScript does not read password-field contents. Laptop keys can pass keystrokes to the focused native web input; the system keyboard and AutoFill remain available. The app has no built-in advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Websites may use their own cookies, advertising or analytics.

05. This website

This website has no added advertising, analytics trackers, nonessential cookies or embedded third-party media. The interactive illustration runs in your browser and does not submit its movements or selections. Language is selected through page URLs. Our hosting providers necessarily receive connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, time and browser information, and may keep technical logs for delivery, reliability and security. External links are subject to their operators’ policies.

06. If you email us

We receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. We use this information to reply, troubleshoot and manage your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive browsing content. Apple iCloud Mail and the relevant hosting and infrastructure providers process information to deliver these services. We do not sell support information or automatically add correspondents to a mailing list.

07. Purpose, retention and transfers

For correspondence and website operation, we rely on legitimate interests in responding to requests, providing a functioning website and protecting security. We keep correspondence only as long as necessary to resolve the matter and meet related legal obligations or handle claims. Technical-log retention follows hosting settings and the time needed for security or incident investigation; contact us for details of the current arrangements. Service providers may process information outside the UK; applicable provider arrangements and legal safeguards govern those transfers. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

08. Your rights and complaints

Depending on the applicable law and legal basis, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact hello@clammy.uk to exercise these rights or ask about retention, recipients or international-transfer safeguards. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or your local data-protection authority. For data held independently by a website you visit, contact that website.

09. Changes

This notice will be updated if the app, website or data handling changes. The date above identifies the current version. The release version and App Store privacy information should be read alongside this policy.
